I am a licensed clinical psychologist who is passionate about helping children and their families work through challenges and create positive change. I focus on building on each child’s strengths while also supporting them in areas where they can grow. I see therapy as a collaborative process and believe it is important to work within the whole family system. My goal is to always make sure families feel safe, respected, and heard while we work together.
I specialize in the treatment of children, ranging from early childhood to young adulthood, and their parents. My clinical training and experiences have focused on providing evidence-based psychotherapy for a broad range of presenting concerns, including emotional and behavioral (such as anxiety, depression, and disruptive behaviors), trauma, Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), learning disorders, and Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).
I have received extensive training in utilizing evidence-based treatments to support families. These approaches include Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (tf-CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT), and Parent Management Training (PMT). I am also certified in delivering Circle of Security Parenting (COSP).
Outside of work, I enjoy reading, watching Formula 1, and spending time with my husband and daughter.
Education
– Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology, Pennsylvania State University (2021)
– B.Sc. in Cognitive Neuroscience, Brown University (2014)
Training
– My graduate training focused on providing evidence-based assessments and therapy to children in school and outpatient settings. I also co-led a Friendship social skills group for school-aged children, a Dialectical-Behavioral Therapy group for teens, and an Anxiety group for teens.
– I completed an APA-accredited predoctoral internship in child and family clinical psychology at the Aurora Mental Health Center (now known as Aurora Mental Health & Recovery) in Colorado. This internship focused on providing evidence-based therapy to children of varying ages in a community mental health setting. I also led Circle of Security (COSP) parenting groups. COSP focuses on supporting the emotional and relational needs in parent-child dyads.
– I completed a postdoctoral fellowship at Wolff Child Psychology, a group private practice, with a focus on delivering evidence-based comprehensive assessments and therapy. There I gained further experience in diagnostic assessment and therapeutic feedback and how this may support the ongoing therapeutic process. I currently work at this practice as a licensed psychologist specializing in therapy for children and families.
